You should know by now that the quality of one’s sleep can very much be influenced by the cleanliness of the bedroom. Not sure about you, but dirty ones get on my nerves, so that’s a no go if a sound sleep is what I’m looking for.
Since I got myself a cleaning service NYC that fits my budget and does decent job (do check them out!), my rooms’ messiness is not really an issue these days. But for you who don’t have access to such, these ideas right here might be a good suggestion you’d like to follow through.
Throw Your Garbage Out!
Who can sleep peacefully with the smell of that 3 days garbage raking from your kitchen?
So, please, clean up your trash to keep the germs from settling down comfortably in your room.
Flip and Wash Your Mattress Regularly.
Not only it’s good for your overall health (since it’s nice not to have respiratory problems), cleaning your mattress regularly also prevent the risk of you choking while you sleep. Dirty ones can even cause you shortness of breath, due to bacteria and bad air particles that accumulate in the layers of the bed linen or pillowcases that you are sleeping on.
Clean the carpet
For bedrooms that has carpet in it, the possibility of bacteria and germs that roam the air will be even greater. Especially if you don’t clean it.
At least you need to wash it once a week. Or you can just use a vacuum cleaner to remove dirty bacteria that clings onto the surface for minimum effort.
Keep Away from the Fur
It’s not that we tell you not to have pet. (We have some of our own, so we get it).
But maintaining their cleanliness is important for their health as it is for yours. Especially if you have carpets in, and you notice the ones sleeping there started having difficulty breathing, try to see your pets is the reason for it.
Vacuuming often might resolve the issues in most cases, but if it doesn’t, try to keep the fur out and see the difference.
Get out of the room
Another effective way to keep bacteria away from your room is to reduce the frequency of your presence in the room. Sounds weird, right? But footprints attached to the floor, if they contain germs, can also stay and contaminate your bedroom. Try to do activities more outside the room, do not eat inside your bedroom. Just, you know, use your bedroom to sleep, clean often, and you’re good to go.
