The game is on and Philadelphia Eagles is facing the Jets on Week 5 game. Everything was pretty rough, the Eagles got several players injured seriously. The Eagles injury report was out last Friday, which makes the third report for now, and the final as well before facing the Jets. The news isn’t pleasant.
The team ruled out five players to be out, and none of them join the exercise so far. The list includes Alex Ellis who has knee injury, Timmy Jernigan who suffers from foot injury, Avonte Maddox who gets neck injury and concussion, Ronald Darby who needs to rest after his hamstring issue, and DeSean Jackson who suffers from abdomen injury.
With these five players out, the Philadelphia Eagles need to fill the vacant positions including Tight End, Defensive Tackle, Cornerback, and Wide Receiver. Sidney Jones is suffering from hamstring injury as Darby, but his stat on the next game remains questionable. We should see if he can make it to Sunday game.
What the Report Means Then
Jackson is positively absent so it means the slot belongs to several names like Mack Hollins, Nelson Agholor, and Alshon Jefery. One of these names should be enough if the issue is to beat the Jets, but Jackson is definitely needed back when it comes to the three game road trip. It is reported that Jackson won’t be ready for Week 6, but there is still hope from the practice. Let’s see how it goes later.
Other than Sidney Jones, the four corners will manned by Craig James, Orlando Scandrick, and Rasul Douglas. Jones can be gimpy but Douglas being across him should help. James clearly made huge move during the Green Bay game, but we will need more especially with Jones isn’t being his 100% right now.
Yes, this Eagles injury report isn’t very pleasing nor promising, but the Jets shouldn’t be hard to tackle by this team. Let’s hope Sunday game is great for the Eagles.
